Free Printable Weekly Calendar

I love using a good weekly planner. It helps me create a to-do list for the entire week and know what appointments and deadlines are coming up.

Plus, a weekly planner gives me an overview of the full week and space to plan my workload.

I can see which days are busy when I can complete specific steps for various projects and even use the printable calendars to plan my menus.

A daily planner works, but it doesn’t give me an overview of the week, allowing me to schedule my days accurately.

And nothing is worse than planning on spending Tuesday working only to discover the kids have dental appointments and recitals!

Uses for Printable Weekly Calendars

Printable weekly calendars have enough space for you to keep track of a multitude of information.

You can add information about your own events and plan daily schedules that work with your family’s normal routines.

Here are some of the many ways you can use printable weekly calendars to organize your life:

  • Track important dates
  • Weekly tasks
  • Menu planning
  • When summer vacation begins and ends
  • Weekly goals
  • To-do list
  • Homeschool lessons
  • Household chores
  • Boost productivity

Boost Productivity

I don’t know about you, but often I will sit down to work and realize I have no idea what I should be doing. A weekly schedule gives me a place to plan my weekly goals and tasks.

Then when I sit down to work, I check the appropriate weekly calendar section and know exactly what I need to work on that day.

A good weekly calendar makes me much more productive since it gives me ample space for my to-do list.

Appointments

You can also print a series of blank calendars to help you stay on top of appointments. The usual monthly calendars don’t give you enough space to list all the appointments a busy family will have.

The squares are simply too small!

Instead, a weekly calendar will allow you to write down the needed information for each day of the week.

Now you’ll know exactly what’s coming up and can plan your daily and hourly schedule around the appointments.

Daily Tasks

I’ve discovered that daily tasks do well on a weekly planner as well. The calendar pdf prints neatly and fits on my desk.

It gives me space to plan my daily tasks for each week without constantly having to turn pages back and forth. I can plan in-depth projects for days we’re at home and small tasks on those days when we’re running all over town.

Household Chores

You can also print blank weekly calendar templates to help you stay on top of your household chores.

These templates allow you to see what needs to be done on a daily basis and what tasks you can spread throughout the week.

I love printing off a weekly planner that gives me enough room to list both the chore and the child assigned to the chore.

Then I can check the calendar to find out what needs to be done and who is responsible for completing the task.

Meal Planning

Meal planning is another excellent use for the weekly schedule templates. You have enough room to list what you plan on eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Plus, in the notes section, you can list anything you need to pick up or prep ahead of time before you begin cooking dinner.

The other advantage of a weekly planner for meal planning is that your family will learn to check the planner instead of constantly asking you what’s for dinner.

Homeschooling

The calendar is also fun to use for planning your homeschooling. Just list the tasks you need to complete each day in your homeschool and write them on the planner. Then check the off as you complete the tasks.

Use the notes section for any supplies or coloring pages you’ll need to pick up at the store, download, or print. Then use the quote to write down your memory work for the week.

Free Weekly Printable Calendar

The free blank calendar includes a header where you can write the month and week. Then you have a space for planning your weekly events from Monday through Saturday.

There isn’t a space for Sunday, so it’s perfect for families who keep Sunday as a day of rest or if you’re using the planner to plan your homeschool.

Then you have a spot to write notes for the week. This may be extra tasks you’d like to get done, meal prep that needs to happen, or science supplies you need to pick up throughout the week.

The final section is for quotes. You could use it as a Sunday section if needed. But it’s also a great place to put a quote, verse, or memory work for your children to memorize that week.

Download and Print Calendar

You’ll find the weekly printable calendar in the resource library. Click on the link, and you’ll be taken to the document.

The weekly calendar is a US letter paper size document, and it’s in a PDF format to make it easy to download and print.

Click the download button to download the template before attempting to print the document. For some reason, it won’t print for me until I download it.
