And what’s best, you only need common crafting material you have around your house!
Supplies Needed for Toilet Paper Roll Crafts
I know what you’re thinking, toilet paper roll crafts are going to require all sorts of obscure and expensive crafting supplies. And nothing could be farther from the truth.
Toilet paper roll crafts use common crafting materials. And you likely have many of them already.
You will want to make certain that you keep these supplies on hand:
For more involved toilet paper roll crafts and to encourage your children’s creativity, these are the supplies you’ll need:
Setting up the crafting area
I like to set up our crafting area on the kitchen table. It’s large enough for the kids to have plenty of room for crafting.
And it’s the easiest place in the house to clean up when the crafts are finished.
Start by using small bowls or an organizer to hold the supplies. Gather the buttons into one container and the googly eyes into another.
Make certain you have plenty of glue and scissors on the table. I find kids don’t wait patiently for a sibling to finish using the scissors before they start fussing.
So make life easy on yourself and make certain there are a couple of sets of tools for the kids to use.
Taller containers are great for pipe cleaners, markers, and pencils.
Once you’ve put the supplies on the table and ensured each child has a place to work, you’re ready to craft!
Animal Toilet Paper Roll Crafts
Animal toilet paper roll crafts are popular! Kids can make the same animal or each child can make a different animal so you can create a zoo together!
Remember to double-check the supplies before you begin! Although I’ve found that markers, glue, and construction paper can be adapted to fill in for missing craft supplies.
