Don’t Forget to Do These Two Important Tasks Every Day!

Over the last few weeks, you’ve developed the habit of washing the dishes after every meal.

You’re also washing, drying, folding, and putting away one load of laundry every day. You’re tiding the bathroom in the morning and doing a quick pick-up of the house in the evenings.

Now it’s time for the last daily task.

Make Your Bed

Making your bed in the morning doesn’t just give you a fresh, clean, and tidy bed to crawl into at night, which beats crawling into bed with the blankets a mess and fighting with hubby all night for a piece of the warmth.

It gives you a successful start to the day. Here’s a Navy Seal Admiral sharing why it’s so important!

Hopefully, you’re now convinced it’s important to make your bed every day!

There are a couple of ways to go about making your bed in the morning.

The first is to quickly make your bed when you wake up.

This is my favorite method as you can quickly make your bed, hang up clean clothing, and toss dirty clothing into the laundry hamper. Your bedroom is now tidy. You’ve had a successful start to the day. And you don’t have to wander back to clean up later in the day.

inside: We’re continuing to work through the series You Can Have a Clean House While Homeschooling. This week you’re to make the beds and tidy the bedrooms.

Unless of course, your kids use your bedroom as a playroom. Then all bets are off!

But making your bed when you first wake up doesn’t always work.

Sometimes we’re up before our husbands. I’ve always found it hard to make the bed with hubby sleeping away. Kids crawl into bed with mommy and daddy during the night.

The last thing I want to do while waking up is to disturb the kids!

If you’re having trouble with people sleeping in your bed after you wake up, the best solution is to wander back into the bedroom during morning chores.

After breakfast, quickly tidy the kitchen and deal with the dishes. Start your daily load of laundry. Tidy the bathroom.

When you make your bed, also do a quick tidy of your bedroom. Have your kids make their beds and tidy their bedrooms at the same time. You’ll set an excellent example for your kids while instilling good habits in them as well.

Now take a look around you. If you’ve kept up with the daily tasks, the house is tidy from the night before.

Everyone has clean clothes to wear because you’re caught up on the wash and staying caught up.

The bathroom is tidy and the kitchen is neat. And you’re ready for whatever the day brings.

Give yourself a pat on the back. You deserve it!
