Now at almost 9 she still goes back to them. She also loved the “My First Little House” books that were illustrated by Renee Graef. They were a perfect bridge to then start reading the Laura books aloud. She also loved all of the Beatrix Potter stories – and still does. The vocabulary is lovely and both these and Fancy Nancy especially gave her a real love for words.
