In reply to Amy. It is! The WTM method has worked wonders for my oldest sons' writing. They're quite adept at pulling outlines and papers together.

We use IEW and the method that you have outlined here sounds a lot like IEW’s writing process. We are currently working on outline information from 1 source and we will be going on to outlining information from multiple sources. They teach them to write topic sentences and clincher (conclusion). They have not taught them how to write a thesis statement yet but I bet that will come in writing from multiple sources. Indeed, it has been a long time since I have read Bauer’s book, I think it may go my Spring Reading list for a refresher. Blessings, K

Thanks for sharing this! It’s always nice to see how different methods work for other people. I read this in the WTM, but it’s nice to hear that it really is a good method!
